Nyck de Vries produced an impressive debut drive at the Formula 1 Gran Premio D'Italia 2022.
The 2019 FIA Formula 2TM and 2020-2021 FIA Formula E World Champion would have been hoping to make his F1 debut at some point but found himself in the cockpit sooner than expected. With Williams Racing driver Alex Albon out with appendicitis, de Vries was called on to step in for his maiden drive. And what a drive it was! He started the race in P8 and then produced a fantastic performance in the race itself. He sealed P9, a points finish, and the driver of the day to kick off what will surely be a promising career in F1.
