Max Verstappen was in a league of his own as he cruises to victory in the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix 2022.

The Dutch driver laid down a huge marker in the race for the 2022 title, securing victory from P14. He systematically picked off the drivers ahead of him to lead the race by lap 12. Verstappen then worked on extending his lead until lap 15, before having to pit. He clawed back the position from Carlos Sainz to retake the lead, finishing the race 18 seconds ahead of teammate Sergio Perez and claiming the fastest lap. He is the first driver to win back-to-back from P10 or lower since Bruce McLaren in the 1959/60 season.
